The clean families of Kampong Phluk

Kampong Phluk, June 2023. The first Inland Ocean Festival launched a challenge: families who keep their house and surroundings clean, and sort their plastic, can be recognised as a “clean family”.

On 25 June 2023, 32 model families from three villages of Kampong Phluk (Kork Kdol, Tnot Kambot and Dei Krohorm) received a letter of commendation, 1,000,000 riel and a 10 kg bag of rice.

A movement, not a prize

The Clean Family Movement is linked to Harvest Plastic. The aim was to recognise another 70 families after the first group.
